"Why are S'pore bloggers clueless & careless" - The New Paper
The New Paper takes a shot at bloggers again (okay, it's 4 days old news but what the heck right?). And frankly, I couldn't be arsed. What did catch my attention were the pictures in the report. All of them were very oddly stretched or pinched. Looks like they need new content editors.
Another thing that caught my eye was what I saw when I clicked on one of the blogger's face. I was greeted with the following:

SWEET MOTHER OF AMMURAGAM! Apparently, the hidden reason why Singapore bloggers are clueless and careless is because of 4 bloggers! Not surprisingly, Xiaxue's face was in there.
But really, was it really necessary to include Dawn Yang as a cause for Singapore's careless and clueless bloggers? I guess too many guys got dumbed down by her stunning good looks.

Well, what is really clueless and careless is the New Paper because Singaporean bloggers aren't just Miyagi, Brown, Xiasway and Rockson.
And alot of people who never turned their blogs into a 'ME ME ME' and 'Worship ME Here' Shrine just go un-noticed.

I'm not sure if careless and clueless are the right words to describe some of those bloggers.. But anyway, NEW PAPER. (UGH) *coughsTABLOIDcoughs*

I agree with birdyz totally.
But since miyagi, brownie n xiasueh are mentioned, haven't that answered to why those blogs are the known ones?
People do not go to blogs filled with sad stories, poems or even script writing logs... they want skin!!!!
I hate diaries.
Hi Aridewa, I wouldn't be surprised that those will remain the only known (and perhaps implicitly approved) ones for a long time as long as the local papers practice no journalism responsiblity to publicise other blogs. At least I have to give credit to Miyagi for talking about some of the other blogs he reads on his TODAY column, compared to the purely, 'ME, ME and ME' blog of brownie and the 'Damn, I am so photoshopped gorgeous and you serfs should worship me' xiasuay blog.
And yes, no one wants to read blasted sad stories, poems of the self-styled poets and script writing logs along with those who post nothing but screenshots of their own CS or some other FPS exploits. :P
actually... i kinda have a diff view. blogs can be 'me me me' for all i care and rather sometimes enjoy reading mrbrown for an insight into someone else's life.
blogs are for ppl to express themselves and heck! i've been told off on my blog b4 so i can relate.
the point of this post was to poke fun at the newspapers for their lack of understanding that blogs belong to us web denizens and its our right to bare ourselves to the entire world however we want.
i do agree some blogs are boring n not to my fancy but i've always taken the philosophy that 'if i dont like it, i dont read it'.

Merv, I have no probs with your stand. The fact is I have never really bothered reading xiasuay, and then have stopped reading Brown entirely. Miyagi I give a glance once in a while. Anyway, a blog is someone's personal property, what my opinion is of someone else's blog really doesn't matter as long as the person is happy with what he's blogging about.
Just like you and I have our own style in blogging and you may actually dislike the things I write but I love reading your views. :)
I can understand the dislike over vanity blogs. The 'Mememe' blogs.
