Blogging for a Cause that Isn't About Putting McDonalds Out of Business
Warning: This is not a humorous post.
With three days left to go (inclusive of today), five Malaysian bloggers will embark on an ardous task of blogging around the clock. Yvonne (group leader), Pelf, John, Charmaine, and Jess will take on the seemingly difficult task of entertaining us around the clock starting from 9pm this Saturday (29th July if you happen not to know the date as well as current month we're in) to 9pm the next day (which is Sunday if for some odd reason you didn't know that). Needless to say, whoever gets the midnight to early morning shift will have a very lonely time. I'd assume that most of us would be sleeping during those hours.
For those who are unaware, these five blog warriors are taking part in an annual event called the Blogathon where bloggers blog for 24 hours in support of a chosen charity. What happens is that these bloggers will register their blogs on the blogathon's official website and pledge their efforts that day to a charity organization of their choice. Readers of their blogs can then choose to pledge money to the said organization via a pledge form found here.
I've made my pledge of an unholy sum of money. Before anyone starts thinking I pledged some 4 figure amount, let me be clear that by unholy, I meant I did some funky black magic ritual over the cash I'm giving for this pledge.
So if you have a heart for charity, head on over here and make that pledge now.
In a show of support, anybody who reads this blog who makes a pledge (and delivers!) get's a postcard sent to them from me. I realize the last time I did this, not even one postcard ended up getting sent because NO ONE gave me their postal addresses.
So, if you'd like a postcard after you've made a pledge, email me your postal addresses at:

Don't worry. I'm trustable.

hedo: Mate! I'll take you out for dinner and you need only ask! (assuming I'm back in Kuching) Now will you donate to charity? Haha

yvy: I would like to drop by (since you invited me hor!) but tak ada masa ler. :(
j: Yes, postcard only. The chocoholic will have to do with only that lol. You can pay by cheque if I'm not wrong. Have to check with Yvonne for that. :P
I plan on getting someone's help on meeting my pledge since I'm in Singapore.
